History

Medu Capital was founded in February 2003.

As a private equity business, it commenced operation with a R250 million private equity fund. The capital commitments were facilitated through the Brait private equity funds. Since its formation, Medu Capital has fully invested its first private equity fund in nine investments.

The second private equity fund, Medu II, was established in 2007. Medu II has capital commitments of R900 million raised from local and international investors.
